Why we started this

Buying and selling in Ughelli and across Delta State has always run on trust — knowing the seller, knowing someone who knows them, hoping the money you send actually gets you what you paid for. That trust is real, but it doesn't scale, and it leaves too many honest buyers and sellers exposed to the few bad actors who ruin it for everyone else.

Ughelli Market Hub exists to bring that same neighborhood trust online, backed by something stronger than a handshake: your money is held safely until you actually confirm you've received what you paid for. Not before.

What makes this different

This isn't a copy of a foreign app dropped onto a local map. Every part of it was built around how things actually work here:

• Delivery zones and fees based on real Ughelli and Delta State geography — Ughelli Main Town, its environs, and the wider towns across the state
• Vendors verified with real ID before they can sell anything
• Riders vetted with ID, vehicle details, and a guarantor — because deliveries here happen door to door, rider to buyer
• A delivery code system so a rider can prove they're really handing your package to you, and not to someone else

What we're building toward

This starts with Ughelli and Delta State, and it starts with a simple goal: make it so anyone here — a trader in the market, a family running a small hotel, a rider with a bike and a phone — has a real, safe way to reach more customers than they could on their own. As more people join, it gets more useful for everyone already on it.
