1. Who this applies to

These terms apply to anyone who creates a buyer account, checks out as a guest, or otherwise purchases products, food, hotel stays, or makes real estate inquiries through Ughelli Market Hub ("the platform"). By placing an order, you agree to these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account or place an order. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate delivery and contact information — orders sent to the wrong address due to inaccurate details you provided are not the platform's or vendor's responsibility.

3. Payment & escrow

Payment for Shop, Food, and Hotel orders is collected via Paystack and held by Ughelli Market Hub until you confirm delivery (or the stay is complete), at which point it's released to the vendor. This protects you — vendors aren't paid until you've confirmed you received what you ordered. Delivery fees are calculated automatically based on your selected delivery zone and are paid together with your order, not separately.

Real Estate inquiries are not paid transactions — no money is collected or held for property purchases through the platform; that's arranged directly between you and the vendor.

4. Your delivery verification code

Each paid order comes with a 4-digit delivery code shown only to you. Only share this code with the rider or vendor at the moment of handover, as proof you're the real recipient — never before. If someone asks for it in advance, that's a red flag, not a normal request.

5. Confirming delivery & disputes

Once you receive your order, please confirm delivery in "My Orders" — this is what releases payment to the vendor. If something is wrong (item not as described, not delivered, damaged), use "Report Issue" instead of confirming — our team will review before any payment is released or refunded. Submitting a false or fraudulent dispute (claiming non-delivery when you did receive an order, for example) is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.

6. Reviews

Reviews and ratings you leave for vendors or riders must reflect your genuine experience. Fake, retaliatory, or paid-for reviews are prohibited and may be removed, with repeat abuse resulting in account restrictions.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not: attempt to pay a vendor directly outside Paystack/escrow to avoid protection or fees; harass or threaten vendors, riders, or our team; misuse the messaging system to solicit off-platform deals (these messages are automatically flagged); or provide false information at signup, checkout, or in a dispute.

8. Guest checkout

You may check out as a guest without creating a password. Guest accounts are still subject to these terms, and orders remain tied to that session — we recommend creating a full account if you plan to order again, so you retain access to your order history and delivery codes.

9. Cancellations

10. Limitation of liability
