Riders are independent delivery partners — not employees of Ughelli Market Hub. Riders choose which deliveries to accept, use their own vehicles, and are paid per completed delivery from the rider's share of the delivery fee shown for each order.
To be activated, every rider must provide: a valid government-issued ID, a clear recent photo, vehicle details, and a reachable guarantor who does not live at the same address. We may contact the guarantor to confirm. Providing false information leads to rejection or permanent removal. Riders must be at least 18 years old.
Each delivery zone has a fixed delivery fee paid by the buyer, of which a stated rider share belongs to the rider. Rider payments are made by Ughelli Market Hub after delivery is confirmed by the buyer, on a schedule communicated to active riders. Riders must:
The following lead to immediate suspension and possible permanent removal: theft or diversion of goods or payments; requesting extra money from buyers beyond the stated fee; harassment or abusive conduct; delivering under the influence of alcohol or drugs; sharing customers' personal information; or completing deliveries outside the platform to avoid fees ("off-platform deals").
Riders are responsible for goods from vendor pickup until buyer confirmation. Where goods are lost, stolen, or damaged in a rider's custody due to the rider's negligence or misconduct, the rider may be liable for the value of the goods. Riders are responsible for their own vehicle licensing, road worthiness, and any legally required insurance. Ughelli Market Hub does not provide vehicle, health, or accident insurance to riders at this time, and riders participate at their own risk. Riders must obey all traffic laws. Ughelli Market Hub may suspend or remove any rider for breach of these terms, repeated complaints, or safety concerns — with immediate effect where buyer or vendor safety is involved. Riders may contact support to appeal.
Rider ID documents, photos, and guarantor details are collected solely for verification and safety, handled per our Privacy Policy, and are not sold to third parties.
We may update these terms as the service grows; continued participation after an update means acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to active riders.
